This is the 2nd Sneak Peek to the Jr. Men’s Community of the compulsory routines for the next quadrennium. The following is an event-by-event listing of the proposed routine elements. Once again, It is the intention of the compulsory writing team to have these raw routines circulated in elementary form to gather feedback from the men’s community on the work so far. We hope to have the routines finalized and prepared for video recording in February of 2008 so your immediate feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Men's JO Rules Update #12 - For immediate implentation:
The Age Group Competition Committee met on December 12, 2007 by conference call to discuss final rule interpretations, changes, and clarifications for the 2008 competitive season. These changes are contained in this update. This will be the final update for the 2008 J.O. competitive season and the final rules update that will be drafted by this Age Group Committee. |
Men's JO Rules Update #11
The Men's Junior Olympic Program Committee, at their September 21, 2007 meeting, voted to adopt a proposal to go to modified FIG open scoring for the Age Group Competition Program for Levels 8, 9 and 10. This Rules Update #11 is for the 2007–2008 competitive season and incorporates all of the rule changes made since the adoption of this proposal. By moving to an FIG Open Scoring program our junior program was able to greatly reduce the number of exceptions to the FIG rules. For this reason many of the optional sections contained in the previous update (#10, dated January 30, 2007) have been eliminated as they are no longer applicable. Please note that there have been no changes for the compulsory levels 4, 5, 6, and 7 other than to use the FIG tables for behavioral and apparatus violations. This update, along with the other written materials noted in this update, constitute all of the rules for the 2007-2008 competitive season. |
